Burn ban will go into effect at sunset on Sunday and will last for 90 days. The Coryell County Commissioner’s Court established the ban because “weather conditions presenting high fire risk are expected to continue through the end of summer.”
Coryell County Sheriff, Scott Wiliams, would like to announce our new mission statement. The new mission statement reflects the organization’s updated focus to improve the quality of life through professional services and community partnerships.
Voters went to the polls on Tuesday and elected Scott Williams as the new Sheriff of Coryell County. Williams will take office on January 1st, 2017.
This Commissioners’ Court supports the right of handgun license holders to carry handguns. However, those involved in the judicial process also have a right to safety and security.
On February 8th, 2016, The Coryell County Commissioners Court approved Order 2016-01, Coryell County Carry Handgun Order.
